[glow=purple,2,300]My name is sackogalleons and I would like to apply to be the head of D.A. The parts with the D.A. in them in OoTP were my favorite parts, and I thought it was ingeniously clever how Hermione devised a way to let all the D.A. members know when the next meeting would be. Even Malfoy thought it was clever, seeing as he took her idea in HBP. Anyway, I visit The World of Hogwarts every time I come online, which is two to three times a day. If anything has changed or the Headmistress posts anything new, I usually stick around and check it out. I promise I will post more if I can be made the head (or president, or whatever the title is) of the D.A. I want to be the head of D.A. because I love the idea of a club that learns spells and charms against the Dark Arts. What will be the duties of the president once he/she is chosen?[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]So What does the head of The D.A do? Every other day or so, the head teachers the club a new spell/charm. (The spell/charm can either be in the books, or made up). The head posts a scenario, and the students must then owl the teacher which type of spell (that they have already learned from the head) works. EXAMPLE:
Scenario 1: A Troll Jumps up behind you with a club in his hand. What do you do?
Sudent 1: I would use Wingarium Leviosa, And knock the the troll out with his own club.
Student 2: I would use accio yo summon his club, and then beat him with the club.
The head probably posts a scenario once a week. On the other days when he/she is teaching them spells, she can ask her own questions as she wishes. If you read the *What do I do in clubs* Thread, then it talks about how in clubs, instead of awarding them house points, you just award them points. At the end of term, the club with the most points win. This means that for each member in the club, they get 500 points for their house.[/glow]
